How to use Battery saver, Power & sleep options in windows 10/8/7

These options are available in your windows PC related to power. As you  know our PC runs mainly on the direct power supply and in the case of the direct power supply not available then on standby power supply like Battery and UPS.

Use battery saver option in windows 10/8/7

To open Battery saver, go to Start Menu, click on it, go to Settings and click on it. There you will find first tab SYSTEM (Display, notifications, apps, power), click on it. Now click on Battery saver.


In battery saver first come overview. In overview, you can see battery life remaining and estimated time remaining. Below it is Battery use. Click on this. In battery use, you will find “Showing battery use across all apps from the last: 24 Hours. In blue color you will find, 1. Change background app settings, 2. Change battery saver settings.


Click on Change background app settings. Here you can let run apps in the background and can choose which apps can receive info, send notifications, and stay up to date, even when you are not using them. Turning background apps off can help conserve power. You can on/off apps given below it.


Now click on Change battery saver settings. In this, you can turn battery saver on automatically if your battery falls a specific percentage. You can allow push notifications from any app while in battery saver mode. You can also lower screen brightness while in battery saver mode. You can allow apps to run in the background and can send and receive push notifications, even when battery saver is on.


Use power and sleep mode in windows 10/8/7    

Here will find Screen. It will turn off after(Scroll down to choose time), when connected to battery power. It will turn off after(Scroll down to choose time), when plugged in.


Next is Sleep. Here also PC will sleep after(Scroll down to choose time), when connected to battery power. PC will sleep after(Scroll down to choose time), when plugged in.

In Related settings, you will find Additional power settings. You can do much more changes here.
